Tour Information

Enjoy an eerie tour from Jamestown to Oaklands, learning the fascinating dark history of slavery and rebellion on the island; Bloody stories of hands nailed to doors, furious fights at the seaside and much much more.

Oaklands, a colonial house built in the 17th century, sits in the heart of St Pauls, on a quiet estate nestled in the woods.  Records date back to Plantation owners - the prominent Leech family who had a property portfolio on St Helena. When Robert Leech died his wife Elizabeth rented the place to lieutenant Kinnard who arrived in 1816.  The property changed hands several times since with no doubt a number of deaths and dramas in its time.

Today Oaklands is possibly the most active location for regular and recent paranormal experiences, though none of the experiences can be pin pointed to any period or historic event.

Resident Guide, Phil Mercury recounts his and others' chilling encounters on a fully loaded history meets mystery house tour.
