savoury dishOur savoury cuisine ranges from the spicy and strong eastern flavours to traditional British roast Sunday's! Whatever your taste you will be sure to find it among our exotic specialities. Being surrounded by bountiful warm seas a variety of fresh fish is available when in season such as tuna, wahoo and mackerel.

Sweets are very popular on the island too. Favourite home-made cakes and desserts include our coconut fingers, boiled pudding, pumpkin pudding and ice-cream.

A wide range of cuisine is available on the island, from Eastern spice dishes to traditional European favourites.
Fresh dish specialities include fish and assorted tropical fruit such as our island bananas, when in season.
It is recommended that visitors make prior arrangements with eating establishments to secure seating for evening meals.
Other foodstuff worth purchasing are our exclusive coffees and honey.

Sample our Specialities

Fishcakes are made from a tasty mixture of spices, herbs, mashed potato and any one of a number of fresh fish. All fried a crisp golden brown and served hot or cold.

Pilau is a substantial spiced curried rice with meat or fish dish. Served piping hot with or without vegetables.

Coconut fingers are oblong shaped madeira cakes dipped in glace icing and rolled in coconut.

Pumpkin pudding is a hearty dish of baked pumpkin, dried fruit, flour, eggs and plenty of spices - particularly nutmeg. A delight!
